Our Messy Christmas will be on Saturday December 12 at 4pm. We will provide goody bags so that you and your children can take part in the fun. It is therefore essential that you tell us beforehand whether your children will be attending, so that we can get the right number of goody bags to you. We are planning a Zoom Nativity, organised by Jo and Fiona. *** Please note the revised time of 5.45pm, not 4pm as originally avertised.***
How will it work?
- You let us know if your child would like to take part.
- Tell us if your child particularly wants to play a shepherd, angel or star etc, otherwise they will be assigned a part based on age and reading ability.
- You will be emailed with the lines for your child to read and a background to display during the Zoom call.
- At a time convenient to you (hopefully), your children dress up in nativity costume and we record them saying their lines.
- We stitch (seamlessly?!) all the video clips together to make a nativity play.
- You join us on Christmas Eve for the showing of the Polden Messy Church Nativity Play.
What do you need to do?
If you would like to be involved, please email Jo at joprunier@yahoo.co.uk with your child’s name, age and character preference (or reply to this email and it will be forwarded to Jo). The deadline for letting Jo know if you would like to take part is 30th November.
How will we broadcast the nativity?
We will join together on Christmas Eve via Zoom to watch the resulting video. Afterwards, it will be available privately for a limited time on YouTube: for obvious safeguarding reasons we will need to give you permission individually to view it.
